The Legacy Project

Create a Difference in Your World 100: Virtual Fireside Chat with Youth Philanthropists Khloe Thompson & Grace Callwood
Thursday, March 18th - 9:00 am In the first 30 minutes of this special fireside chat, we'll hear from Khloe Thompson. When she was just 8 years old, Khloe began distributing care bags filled with socks, underwear, toiletries, and menstrual supplies for people in the Los Angeles who were experiencing homelessness. With the help of her family, Khloe founded a non-profit organization called Khloe Kares, and has since given over 5,000 hygiene "Kare Bags" to people in need across the U.S. Khloe will talk about her impactful work in the community, and share encouraging proof that age has nothing to do with your ability to change the world.
In the second half of this special event, we sit down with Grace Callwood. At age 16, Grace is currently the founder and chairwoman of her all-youth board of advisors of the We Cancerve Movement, Inc., a nonprofit organization that she founded in 2012 at age 7, shortly after being diagnosed with a catastrophic illness. We Cancerve brings happiness to homeless, sick and foster youth, and Grace is will share her stories to encourage her peers to create their own difference. |
